I'd go there with a digital camera and take pictures of everything with a dent scratch or otherwise on it.
I would't take the time to ask or find the guy eiter. Go to the property, find the car and take tons of pictures.
Then I'd go to the dealer, post her or a good Saab guy/and see what they think.
You have to be pretty stupid to have a cv fall out and you can do a ton of damage depending on how fast he was going when it "fell out". For it to fall out either the lower ball joint wasn't in, which would really mess up the car or it fell out of the inner driver and I really don't see how that could happen.
I'd approach this like you were going to small claims - just in case - better to be prepared than ....'d.
And find another mechanic the isn't on meth.
