I made sure the fluid was at the top line on the mini-dipstick when I filled it with the MTF. I put in approx. 2.5 quarts.
Would it matter that I tend to drive the car fast, that I also tweaked the APC to that of Red Box specs? Is the higher pressure on the tranny causing the fluid to leak past the gaskets?
I know it's not engine oil, as my oil tends to be very dark/black, and this fluid is light brown, and does not smell like engine oil. I'm certain it is MTF. The whole length of the tranny case is covered in it, from the front large oval cover to the rear square-ish cover. And it's fresh fluid, not as if it was just build-up on the case.
I guess I will go ahead and re-fill with MTF, but the gasket in the middle of the case is leaking as well. This would mean separating the two-halves of the case to get at that one, and I'm not about to do that.
