if you on in the US you can remove teh left hand speaker to get access to the back of the speedo to unclip the drive cable, it's pretty easy. the only biatch on the facia is the rheostat on the far left used to dim the dash lights for the radio and that area, it has too spade connectors and it's somewhat difficult to get them off in the short area you have to work with, but you can do it. it's also a great time to checkup on the rheostat itself, and the nut that always comes loose in the facia and lets it spin. if it works well suggest using locktite red to keep the threads from backing later...

also, taking the radio din boxes out, you can bend the top in with a screwdriver and do the sides the same way. you can then pull the box out and disconnect everything to get it out of the way. you can straighten out the sides before you put it back in, there are area with lights in them that lightup the dash controls, check them out and you will see before you put back together.

lastly, the air distribution switch (the one with all of the arrows on it) needs to be disconnected, reach in the din slot after removing the radio boxes, feel around the back of the switch where the vac lines come in, you will feel a clip that you press towards the center of the stuff and it lets the metal ring / retainer loose. that is all you need to do to remove it, installation is line them up and snap into place. the bentley has good pics of this. buy the bentley, it's *much* cheaper than going to a shop for the DIY that you can accomplish.
