Thanks for the advice. Where does one send one to get it fixed/recalibrated? Thanks! FWIW, I've always thought of him as pretty experienced--as experienced as one can be when there are only about a dozen Saabs in our area! I've been dealing with the owner--who is probably in his late 70's or early 80's, and his son has owned several Saabs; always thought that was a good thing. So, maybe I need to go to a bigger city (250 miles away in Salt Lake City, probably) and see what someone down there tells me. We have lots of reasons to go down that way, so leaving it with someone for a week to do everything isn't a bad thing. I'll try to find the Bentley manual and look through it.
I have a lead on a new dashboard without cracks, which I'd probably have done at the same time (any ideas what that should cost?). Was planning on buying a dash kit to put a new fascia on as a DIY project. (Looking at the one sold by StateofNine. I'm not a great DIY guy (I figure that there are people who make a living doing what I need done and I have a moral obligation to provide them employment). Thanks again to everyone!
