Hello all,
Well I finally got the car I've always wanted. After owning 3 c900's in the past, my wife surprised me and bought me a 90 SPG for Christmas. Of course it has a few issues but my main concern currently is that I was driving the car home for the first time at hwy speeds and about 20 minutes in to the drive (traveling at 75mph) I noticed a slight vibration throughout the entire car. I let off the accelerator and it dissappeared at 70mph. Then about 10 min. later, it happened again. and again. It didn't seem to affect the steering. The car traveled down the road straight. I noticed that whenever this started to happen, I needed to let off the gas for just a split second to have it go away. The rest of the trip I traveled in 5th gear at about 65mph where it didn't seem to happen. I got off my exit and traveled 55mph in 4th and did not have this problem. The car has 116K on it and the only real issue right now that I am aware of is that one cv joint is making a little noise on tight turn and the clutch is a little worn but very useable. Any suggestions would be great. I am really hoping to restore this car but I am trying to avoid the dreaded Transmission problems. Thanks
