a couple of things. you need to make sure you have the correct code. written on the radio is often correct, but if you do the following and still can't get unlocked then either the code is wrong or the radio is bad.
IF you have attempted to key in the unlock code THREE times unsuccesfully, and this means you could do two, turn the power off, come back and turn it on and try a third time... you may get the big lockout.
If this happens you need to leave the radio powered on for an hour, sometimes a few minutes more, sometimes a few less. The beeping with finally stop and the display should display Code, if Code question not displayed depress and hold the Band button and then the Code display should appear. Remember, you get three attempts entering the correct code. If you are sure you are doing the four digits properly, then pull the radio out and call or visit your friendly dealer and get the code, compare it to the one you have been using to see if you have been faked out?
