'90 SPG. I work at a school, so the to-do list started at the beginning of summer and is quickly winding down as summer ends for me next week. Since April, we've done the radiator, fans, coolant lines, thermostat, water pump, upper steering column, rebuilt the distributor with fresh internal oil seals, new oil filter housing, refurbed SPG panels, general tune up including fresh air filter, spark plugs, wires, cap and rotor, upper passenger control arm bushings, passenger side CV axles, tie rods, ball joints, sway bar bushings, timing, refinished entire hatch door with factory matched paint, refurbed distributor's vacuum advance, removed original steering wheel and airbag, replaced with near-new original Saab Sport and Rally steering wheel, refurbished and added factory whaletail, refurbed and added super aero rims with new tires, refurbed and added factory Saab wood shifter knob (matches factory wood dash), new leather shifter boot, removed rear seat and added a mattress to create Saab camper (roomier and more comfortable than our 2-person tent!), sewed custom bug netting to fit over open hatch, windows, and sunroof, and created a custom sound-deleting rubber matting to line inside of spare-tire compartment and trunk area.
To do before school starts next week: add a full 2.5" custom exhaust from turbo back, new cat and heat shield, twin tailpipe, new Bilstein HD shocks, and Poly-Air leveling springs in rear with built-in compressor and switch/gauge combo mounted in custom plate under factory auxiliary gauges. We do have a wedding to go to this weekend, so I may not get it all done in time. Wish me luck!
