Agreed. Short distance. We've probably all had vehicles where the power assist went out where you have to stomp on it and I suspect this is the situation that Les is in. Personally, I would give it a go. But that is just me. Take it home during lull periods in traffic, go slow, and be ready to dump it in the lowest gear and turn the ignition off if the worst happens. I know, sounds risky. But if you have the ability, with brute force, to use the brake, then you still have brake.
