Depends, you can have them hot-tank it for you if they have the capabilities.

I usually just bathe mine with a little kerosene and concentrated cleaner mixture in a spray bottle and a stiff parts brush. Not so much for them, but so I won't get my car or clothes all greasy when I drop it off.

If you are getting it pressure tested, they may want you to pull the cams before dropping it off. At least that's the way my local machine shop wants them. If you go that route, be sure you put the cam caps and bolts back the same place you took them off. Some of the cam cap bolts are black, some are silver. The black ones have an oil passage. IIRC, they go toward the spark plug side of the cam caps.
