3 cars that currently have this affliction-all '88t's.
I am talking about starts fine (cold/warm/hot), but after approximately a minute it starts hunting wildly, almost stalling. It is difficult to drive while this is happening, and will sometimes stall out. So, i just start the car a couple of minutes before driving, but it is pretty embarrassing having this sweet looking C900 cvt sitting there hunting away like an old jalopy! The latest car i bought seemed fine for the first few times i started it, but has slipped into the old idle hunt when cold, just like the others! I really have no desire to start buying apparently dubious (according to posts here) AMM rebuilds at around $180 a pop, but really want to get this sorted. Once it has warmed up (a couple of minutes), everything is good with the world, and all my Saabs have a rock solid idle, fluctuating maybe 50rpms. As the AMM's are adjustable on these, i have set them up using a voltmeter on the O2 sensor, as per bently. I haven't had a chance to touch the latest car. This is such a classic problem, other LH2.2 owners must have nailed this down, maybe there is a work-around (if it is indeed the AMM)?
Please don't suggest vacuum leaks-2 out of 3 of these cars have all new grommets and vac lines.
TIA
