be adjusted . I believe using this method is more accurate than testing through the O2 sensor . I can't remember who I learned it from originally , but I do remember Anders confirming it as a more all component inclusive technique for adjusting the AMM . Now I need his help again to remember which colored wires at the socket to plug the analog volt meter into . If he or someone does not chime in with the info you can probably figure by trial and error with the 3 different wires of the socket . This test socket is near the OEM O2 sensor wire socket (by passenger fender hanging free and unattached next to the power accessory block . It has 3 wires running into it and 3 blade type (I believe) female plugs in one plastic housing . Using an analog meter with a setting for a range of 0-12v or just over , plug into 2 of the wires (this is where I need help remembering) and adjust the AMM screw until you get an evenly paced swing on the meter's needle between 0v and 12v . The voltage showing on the meter is more of an end of the line reading in the sense that it is the representation of what the ECU is telling the injectors to do based on the info it receives from any component that sends it info . This also represents the correct small fluctuation between rich and lean that LH 2.2 exhibits at warm idle when tuned correctly and shows up as the small 50 or so variation in RPM . By the way , make the AMM adjustment when the engine is warm . This socket also has some other function(s) that I can't remember right now . Even if you need a new AMM you should probably use this method to adjust it .
