That's quite a bit of $, especially if the fender is rusting. Bubbles you see outside the fender trim indicate more underneath the trim. Surprising that the back seat is messed up in a vert - often those are hardly used, and to be honest, the c900 interior is really tough (eg compared to a 9-5: my 1993 looks better inside than my 2004). Was the odometer still working? If you decided to go for this one, personally, I'd probably scrounge an interior from a parts car vs getting new skins and carpets... could be much more cost effective...
The verts tend to be less used up than hardtop models, so you shouldn't have too much trouble finding a nice one with a stick. Of course people ask more for nice ones, but scan the classifieds here if you want to get a handle on the pricing... not many of these are sold anymore, so blue book pricing may be completely out to lunch. There has been a recent uptick in pricing of all desirable c900s, as they start to disappear from the roads, and as people get more nostalgic for the "good old days" of SAAB... I've had numerous random strangers come up to me in parking lots asking about my cars... many of whom have never owned a SAAB!
Anyway, it probably is worth taking it for a test drive, if nothing else, to give you a feel for the c900, and the autobox and maybe why you might want a stick etc...
