One came up on Clists here in Atlanta and I had to have it; my second 900 along with my 92 3 door turbo. I always loved the look of the four doors: bull nose, triangle window and a really good conditon red/maroon interior. The 1980 has 156,00 miles and it was bought by the previous owner in 2001 at 117,00 miles with a sixteen valve turbo engine, a rebuilt tranny and the CIS fuel injection system.
The bad thing: it was sitting for six or so years and does not turn over. It did stay running for 30 seconds on initial attempts(said the previous owner) but now it does not turn over. She says it is getting fuel(but maybe not). Any ideas? The previous owner cleaned the tank and tried to resurrect it her self but she gave up and she did not want to spend the money on it. She is now getting a 9000.
Do people in general like the CIS injection system or should I look to upgrade to the LH electronic fuel system? Once installed are they just more reliable and not needing adjustments?

I do want to upgrade to the better brakes but my 5 door came with some great spoke Ronal wheels that I love( I was even looking for some for my 92). I would have to forfeit those but is there a market for them to where I could get an even exchange value wise; that is if I could even find some....... or maybe just keep the old brakes? I wont be driving it that much but they seem a hassle.

Also, spot rust at various places on the paint, mostly above or below the trim. Is it just easy enough for temp purposes to sand it out and prime it ,just to stop the bleeding? the real bad area that may need attention is on the drivers side outside A piller where while sitting mostly outside for 6 years, water was getting in-I guess. It is bubbly but not structural.

Also,The turbo must be an old turbo? there is no apc solenoid, no apc box etc.
any info, suggestions, or ideas would be helpful

Also, no AC components, is that common?

thanks,

Mark
