Most of those recharge setups assume you never broke the seal, that you kept at least an atmosphere of pressure still in the system and no air got in...
IF you remove hoses and let ALL of the pressure out, then you are supposed to vacuum out the air (reduce pressure to as close to zero as a pump can) and then put the coolant and oil in. If you don't then your system isn't running as well as it could - it's like having some air in your brakes - and you might be overpressuring the system to get the same amount of cooling as was originally produced - double check the absolute pressures with a set of gauges and make sure there's oil in the system (and not too much either!)
