Yeah, a multimeter or a voltage meter in the car.
Are you sure it's not your ABS system cycling all the time and putting a big drain on things? If it cycles too often it will get hot and require that much more juice to operate.
Take out your brake lights and drive around (IN A SAFE AREA, LIKE A PARKING LOT) and see if the problem persists. That will eliminate brake light bulb drain. Then, repeat the process and use your handbrake to stop - that will eliminate the ABS pump as a culprit.
