Still there are many different ones and you can't just swap one model for other. It might work if they are close enough if pressure settings or that the fittings are the same.
Just in Volvo's case they have 4 different ones for the 200/700 series with different engine alternative, 001, 007, 021 and 034
One of my sources say that the Saab 014 is superseded to the 021 and that might be true.
Some have a vacuum hose fitting in the back, some do not.
