Parting out a rust free C900 is a terrible thing to do, especially a CE. I love the Garret turbos in my C900s and that's what all my current C900s have. If you want a 3 door C900 turbo just get one that was built that way and don't wring your hands over which turbo it has or any other detail for that matter. Saab didn't make any "bad" C900t's, from '79 until '94 they were all damn good. They all had their own little issues including the cars with water cooled turbos (have fun fixing that obscure ABS or those stupid retractable seat belts) but it's not like those things made them intolerable or something. My daily driver '86 and '87 C900t's are wonderful and I wouldn't trade any of them for another C900t just to get a water cooled turbo or internal cam oiling or ABS or SRS or electric seats or headlight wipers or LH 2.4, etc., etc. They're all good, find one that's rust free and in good condition and drive it like you stole it and you'll be happy but please don't part out a solid CE convertible just to put a water cooled turbo in a S car.
