Neither car has any rust whatsoever but for the start on the inside of the hatch below the window on the 3-door which is soon enough to catch with no external paint work needed and the existing paint looks very good, hence the desire to retain the body.
The N/A car is the 2.1 with 180K on it, which I understand is more used than the better blocks in the 2.0 and the 5-speed pops out in reverse if you aren't very gentle so will need tranny work soon.
I do have all the parts to do a LPT and did so years ago on a 2.0 N/A but have heard the high compression 2.1 is a poor starting point, of course since the 2.1 head and manifold is interesting I could do a LPT and see how far it takes me.
