sometimes it works this way: remove the oxygen sensor on a hot idling engine. If you haven't yet T5'd it or if it isn't managed by EZK system, then you can gain some extra help by twisting your dizzy to retard about +5..+10 degrees (retarded ignition gives you hotter exhaust).
