In lieu of prying, you can use a 15/16 shallow socket and a long 8 mm x 1.25 bolt. Put the socket end over the gear the clutch shaft resides in and stick the 8 mm bolt with large washer through the center of the socket. Tighten it and the shaft should pop right out.
You'll still need to relieve the force that the pressure plate exerts on the clutch disc so the splined part of the disc can get past the indent in the center of the flywheel.
It's doable without the ring tool that gets inserted under the fingers of the pressure plate to relieve the force of the pressure plate on the slave cylinder but it's a PITA. Had to do that a couple of weeks ago at a u-pull-it. Some judicious prying of the pressure plate to insert some 3/4" or 1" nuts between it and the flywheel will give you enough separation. Be very careful that you don't catch your fingers in there - there's a lot of force that do a lot of damage to you in a very short amount of time.
In addition to all of the bolts fastening the transmission to the engine, be sure to get the nut off the stud to the right of the main pulley.
