I'm a little weak on 4 speed details, haven't touched one in years, but the 4 speeds came with three different primary ratios; #4 set- 31 (top) and 30 (bottom) which is what you have now and has a ratio of 0.97. There was also a #5 set which was 30 top and 27 bottom (0.90) and a #6 set 31-26 (0.84) so you should look for one of those higher ratio sets. The top sprocket is the same as used on a five speed BUT the bottom sprocket is different because it's retained by a snap ring instead of a nut so you'll need an actual 4 speed sprocket there. You can identify which primary set a 4 speed has from the fourth number if it's a 99 unit or, if it's a 4 speed from a C900 the third digit after the G or GM (unless someone has changed the sprockets). They all use the same chains (as I recall).
