Not exactly Landjet's topic but on a related issue I've wondered about the rear bulb specs. It's my understanding that the OE bulbs are 21 watt. The cars I've had mostly come with the typical 1156 and 1157 A--zone bulbs. It's my understanding these bulbs are 27 watt. If so wouldn't the use of the higher watt bulbs lead to the overloaded ground wires and melted sockets that I see on most 4 door tail lights? I had to replace one rear tail light assembly on my 91T hatch a couple weeks ago. The bulb socket was so distorted the PO had epoxied the bulb in the socket.
