C900 Bulletin Board 1979-1993 & 94 Conv | |
I just got a set of amber 150 fog lights to replace the damaged OEM clear fogs on my car. That got me thinking about driving lights, as I've recently increased my long haul Interstate driving, visiting the grandkids in Oregon.
I was wondering if any one has or is currently running the matching 150 driving lights, and if so, how you mounted them and your driving experience with them.
Blacksheep runs E-codes with SilverStar Ultras, but at 80mph (the legal Interstate speed limit in parts of Utah and Idaho) I find myself wishing for more light.
I found a reference to an "Above Bumper Bracket Kit", P/N 02 46 355, but it is apparently NLA. I'm unable to locate NOS pieces, and even so much as an image or illustration eludes my searches. So I'm open to suggestions regarding mounting, particularly regarding hood clearance issues. Or perhaps someone has a pair laying about unused.
Ultimately, I'd like fogs to be available with park lights only (no headlights), as well as synced with the driving lights through the high beam switch, preferably activated with the current fog light switch. Not at all clear as to how that might be accomplished, so again I welcome suggestions.
TIA
