This happened to me last spring. It seems that I left the car for some time and moisture got in the electric ignition module.
Of course I thought it was the lock cylinder and did every spray and jiggle I could think of, but no fix. What finally worked (after drilling out the entire lock cylinder, ruining it) was I simply replaced the ignition module and the key turned fine. My disection of the module showed that it had rusted on the start pin and it caused it to stick. Once I loosened it up with wd 40 (the ignition module) cleaned everything up and put it back, everything was fine.
