My 750's (suzuki and triumph-triple) have shift dogs and no syncros, so these special mc blends will not address syncro shifting issues.
if the 10-30 synth shifts well, the only risk for the 89 non-turbo is some potential leakage.
I would not go with 75W90 for your power and climate. If you want equal or better lubrication and mabe better shifting, and less risk of leaks, try Redline MTL or Honda (car) MTF fluid from the dealer. Both are like 70W80 or 75W80 GL4 gear oils.
I suggest a brief, easy load, buffer run with 20W compressor oil API-SA, when switching synthetics with different base oils (PAO's, diesters, etc).
