I'm running Redline MTL in my 89 non turbo 5 speed with 135K on it. It occaisonally shifts extremely smoothly when warm, yet a lot of the time the shifting is notchy. I know my 2nd synchro isn't top notch (bad shifting into it when first cold). So I know because of the randomness of my good/bad shifting, it is my synchros that need to be dealt with. I don't drive the car hard at all, never pushing it beyond 3K rpm's before shifting. The redline in the tranny now has approx. 28K miles on it. What do you suggest I switch my tranny fluid to in order to help my synchros smooth out my shifting? Should I try for a fresh batch of mtl (wasn't super-overly impressed with the stuff), or should I try the NEO stuff you just threw in, or perhaps the Honda?
Thanks so much for taking the time to read this and help,
Jake
