Monster: You write some very interesting articles about the work on your SAAB. Keep them coming. One trick in removing the hood by yourself on your SAAB. If you get in front of your car (once the two bolts are removed and the hoses connection for the windshield, and the little arms on each side of the bolts are swing back--I'm sure you know the ones I'm talking about) place each hand about half way up the hood on each side (the hood is half way up which makes it easy to grasp) and slide back the hood and remove. I have always used this method and it works fine. I replaced the hood using the same method. Sometimes it is difficult to aline the arms in the first time--with--after a couple of times you get good at it. In reading your past articles, I think you said your were a retired Navy polit. I retired from the Army as a nuclear weapons technician. George.
