At some point in time you may want to clean the mechanical fuel distributor control valve (it is the valve which the air sensor plate moves up and down in the center of the fuel distributor....after many years this gets gummed up and starts sticking...causing uneven idle for same rest petal positon.
This is a bit more involved than the thottle plate cleaning and idle port cleaning though....noticed any gummy stuff on one side of top of air flow plate???
