Jeff,
Been watching posts with great interest. I'm way behind the curve with my newly aquired SPG, but, I purchased something that may have application for your project. Autospeed.com in Australia has a DIY controller that is temperature controlled and could turn on your pump if it is 10 amps or less. It is made to controller waterspray on an intercooler. I used it to control a fan on my intercooler. Why have an intermittent control when you could have it circulate only when it is necessary? as indicated by temperature. This controller comes with two thermistors that can be located by installer. One typically is used to measure ambient air temp and the other whatever you are trying to monitor. It is adjustable for differential between the two. This would automate the cycling of your system only when it measured a temperature you adjusted that warrants cooling. Just a thought from a "newbee" on the BB.
