If you liked your 89 9000T, perhaps you would enjoy a newer model year 9000. I have not found another car with the same group of features, especially the hatchback! While not a "new" car, the current market for used cars seems to have no bottom, and bargains are out there waiting to be picked up. If you look, you can probably find a nice one at a good price (except perhaps for the large premium on the Aero).
I was recently in the same mindset with my classic 900, and bought a nice 94 9000 CST. I need occasional large carrying space, didn't want a wagon, but no one else makes a medium to large hatchback - and even SAAB doesn't anymore. Interestingly enough, General Motors' new products will have the "innovative" feature of a hatchback - look for it on the 2004 Malibu!
