BPV stands for the By-Pass Valve, or "hooter" valve, or "dump" valve or "diverter" valve, or "atmospheric" valve. Although these terms are supposedly synonymous and are used on this board to refer to the same component (medium-sized cylinder-looking thing that is in the upstream aluminum intake pipe coming out of the intercooler, with a small vacuum hose going into it), they actually are two different types of valves that are used. The type used on Saabs divert the extra/unused cooled boost into the air cleaner box, whereas other vehicles use an atmospheric type which just opens up and dumps the boost out of itself. The oem Saab style do make some noise (more of a whistle), but nowhere near what a dump/atmospheric style makes (like a hooting owl).
BPC stands for Boost Pressure Control, which is the *very* expensive piece of black plastic that is mounted on top of the radiator shroud and has 3 hoses coming out of it with an electrical connector at the bottom. This component is how the ECU "talks" to the turbocharger, allowing the wastegate to open up and let all exhaust pass by the turbo and into the downpipe.
Hope this helps!
Joe
