I agree with you on the american cars, but the Japanese make a very good car. I have a toyota and an isuzu that have been fun and bulletproof. Not anywhere in the class of the saab as far as blood pumping fun. A 9000 with 5spd, the motormounts tight, rear suspension stiffened with the right wheels and tires is the closest thing to perfection I have found. When you get all of the options working, it is even better.
