See my 7 Dec 94 posting re Heater Core. If you have additional questions I may be able to help. I have done quite a bit of research on the subject. My heater core is still leaking at 202,564 miles. The leak is between the metal heat exchanger portion and the plastic tank on the inlet and outlet hose end. It is a small leak that I do not smell and it does not fog the windshield. The coolant drains into the aquarium I am leaving it be for now.
