You can connect the blower directly to battery voltage by connecting the green wire from the blower to battery positive, and black to any ground. That'll at least give you air in the interior. However, your blower is old and stiff, which is what fried your resistor, so anything short of blower replacement is going to be temporary at best.
There's really no way for snow to get inside the blower housing, because first it must pass through the air filter, then the evaporator housing. So pouring anything down there isn't going to make much if any difference.
If you're feeling lucky you might try replacing the transistor yourself (see archives for part number and procedure) but these repairs can last anywhere from minutes to years, and sometimes they don't take at all.
If you have anyplace warm(ish) and out of the weather to work, I'd plan a weekend of blower replacement fun and get the pain out of the way.
