try to "warm reboot" the car after the light comes on Posted by Henry Helfman [Email] (#787) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Henry Helfman) on Tue, 24 Mar 2009 03:27:10 In Reply to: Re: cleaning rear ABS sensor - cleaning didn't work, techlectic, Mon, 23 Mar 2009 07:20:57 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
While the engine is running, turn the key to "start" position for a second and let it return to "run." Don't worry about grinding the starter- there is a safety latch which prevents the it from engaging more than once at a time
every run cycle. Does the ABS go out? Come right back on? How about when you're rolling?
I'm chasing the same problem but my ABS light recently stopped coming on quite as frequently after I disconnected/reconnected the front connectors.
It sounds like neither of us have checked resistance of the 4 sensors yet- something that probably should be done for conformation. Keep us posted please
