my understanding is that tcs and control the exceleration to make sure
the wheels have enough contact to be safe on icy and wet roads
i have owned tcs cars for 10 years and really enjoy them, i have had to replace throttle bodies twice along with some other minor parts
i lived in new england and new york and loved the tcs in the winter and just found it made taking off from a stop on icy roads easy you just press the gas and the sytem does the rest
i have also been on the interstate going fast, and seen the light go on and it tells me to slow down as the roads are bad
now i live in TN and when ever we have snow i put the 97 9000cse away and take my 92 9000 CD to work as i feel safer and find it to handle well in the snow and ice
my .02 cents
