But it's IS a 25! year old design.
Current Civics come with 8! airbags yes! even in the $15K cheapo version.
Not too long ago in my City some Young Lout in a Civic Si ran a red light and T boned a Police cruiser..at 50/60 . Killed the hapless officer instantly, the Kid got out of the civic and ran away, only caught the next day. Police cruisers are massive Crown Victorias fitted with a rollover bar and Cattle Deflectors on the front.
Pesky 'killer' Civic still had an intact windshield.
Saab safety, once world class, is now just average. Like it or not.
