TCS & trottle body

Hey All!
Got my first '93 9000 Aero recently.......(have had 900's for last 15/20 years.still have 3 of them)left from Montreal to Baltimore to pick it up and drove it back with no issues whatsoever....quite the beast........all seems fine...body very solid(couple surface rust spots on hood)..cheap on gas, feels solid while driving..interor is in very good condition, under carriage is solid also, new clutch 2000miles ago....it is imola red faded but did a whole buffing/wax and turned out awsome
Was reading here on the BB about TCS being a weakness on these.....how do we know when its deffective.......I see that I have the TCS push button...but have'nt really tried it yet....excuses my ignorance, but what is the TCS for exactly and how is it link to the trottle body that you's talk about on here( I could get a spare trottle body unit from a '94 as spare, would it be compatible?)....what happens with the TCS if I dont use it...can I save myself troubles??
Your advice is always usefull!!!
Thanks again!
Marc
