dreaded TCS :-) The throttle body is a drive by electrical wire gizmo. Only when the systems fails does the throttle cabe get usaed Limp home mode. But then the throttle body Fights the throttle pedal so the immediate symptom is a heavy throttle pedal feel.. and an unwillingness to idle...
unmistakable.
Traction control is actually fine, it's the tired/worn/out components, or a bad connection, or a vac leak, Or?? (long list) that cause hair pulling. Currently, imo, TCS means: the completely unexpected appearance of "Limp Home" mode.. Then the fun to 'fix it' begins.
TCS button does Nothing (in terms of isolating the TCS system from the car) in real life, only turning off the traction control system effects.. but resets to 'on' at each ignition turn on.
Little more than a; let you lay rubber switch .. When.. it works :-)
TCS system is heavily integrated into the car's circuitry..
Removal is possible ..but it's not a trivial task...(as in a v few have managed this) and usually needs a donor car for parts.
Now you live in fear :-)
