I bought my wife an 02 9-5 Aero auto. I put the new PCV kit on it and never had any engine problems for the entire time I owned it. It did have a "minor evap leak" that I could never trace down and didn't want to spend the money for the smoke test. Other than that, the car was mechanically sound. My wife drove the tires off of it for her job as a travel nurse. I was never crazy about it. I didn't like the ride and it didn't have a hatch. If I was running to the store and had a choice, I always chose my 9K.
The only other very common issue I found was the information display on the radio loses parts of its display. Easy to replace, but not too cheap. I'm cheap so I didn't spend the couple hundred to replace that.
If you buy one and don't like it, dump it. It's not like they're that expensive to begin with, and if it doesn't fit your liking, someone will take it off your hands.
