Oops, in my original post I created a loop with the link posted. I meant to post from last Oct 11.
Anyways, It appears that I now was able to get the new OEM slave out of its retracted position. Maybe with new, albeit dry seals it needed a boost to get it to seat the throwout bearing against the PP fingers.
I can reach in with a long scredriver, push throuwout bearing and slave towards retracted position, and with clutch pedal pop it back out.
I did that by separating the rubber portion of clutch line from hard line. Used compressed air and 'pop' it extended. At least now I am seeing full travel of about an inch, versus the previous measly 1/4 inch. I did have to help the bearing with its rubber sleeve 'slip' over the ridge on the movable piston portion of slave. it must have come off during mating of engine/trans. But, as I mentioned in update post above, still not disengaging clutch at all.
Its as if I have a part missing, or simply wrong pressure plate.
