Ah, the Slave cylinder turns out to be the problem, based on my collecting the fluid dripping from the bottom of the tranny's bell housing. I was unable to find any leaking hoses even after I removed the battery for a better look up near the firewall. MY QUESTION: 3 days after repressurizing my clutch by vigorously pumping the pedal, it's still retaining good pressure-- WHAT is likely to happen if I just put the car back in service and drive around town? (carefully watching the brake fluid level, of course)....You Fellow car guys may be interested in how I was able to determine that it was brake fluid: I placed an old white dinner plate under the bell housing and collected the fluid. The next day, I pulled the plate out to inspect, placing some drips of my engine oil from the dipstick alongside the puddle of mystery fluid on the plate. It was very obvious by rocking the plate a bit that the mystery fluid was much more liquid than motor oil, and also the color was obviously that of brake fluid, not motor oil!
