Well, she made it to the shop. Itwas a little tough at first, though. The cluch had gone rather flat as well, making it difficult, but not impossible to shift gears without a lot of grinding. As I drove the car, and it warmed up some more, the clutch got better. The exhaust leak got a little quieter, too, but it was still very much there.
Anderfield's European Auto Service (in Nashville, TN) already gave the estimate for the repair. I'm having them fix the exhaust leak, install a new top motor mount bushing (the one mounted on the engine side bracket), and fix 2 other oil leaks (front crank seal and oil pressure sender). The total for all of this is just $220. I highly recommend these guys. The mechanics are almost all saab master techs, and most used to work for the local saab dealer. I suppose the long term proof will be in how the repairs hold up, but I have no complaints with them so far.
