own a 95 Subaru Legacy Wagon and has for the last 4 years. We all love it in the winter. It makes my Saab look like a sled. With 4 all seasons in the scoobydo(subaru) and 4 snow tires on my 92 9k cd TCS she can out stop, accelerate and boy can that thing corner. In situations where I am sliding sidways, that damb Subaru is just fine. That car is impossible to get into a spin. I have tried very very hard, with no luck. Without a second thought, I would get her the Subaru. I live in Wisconsin so we get a lot of snow as well, so I do know what winter is like. Saabs are great winter cars, but for the 4 years that I have ridden, driven and seen that Subaru, we have never been let down. My Saab on the other hand is great, but it does not compare. I'm sure people out there have seen Subaru's get stuck where Saabs move freely, but We have FWD, it has AWD, no comparison. You can only compare the cars if they weight the same and have the same drive system. GET THE SUBARU, SHE WILL LOVE YOU FOR IT (WINK WINK).
