You forgot to mention that for me and others it has prevented replacing at least one heater core. In the case of my '66 Corvette it plugged a small leak in the head that originally caused some minor coolant leakage into the combustion chamber when cold. My '91 9KT had no cooling system problems of any kind using BL, and continues with the present owner, the car now having logged about 160k miles. For me, these cases alone justify the $2/bottle purchase above all others.
If a problem like Kevin's crops up immediately after installing a product like BL, there may be no verifiable relationship between the two events. In this case and in all others I've seen mentioned here, there is no such verifiable relationship.
In Kevin's case, the BL won't even circulate in the cooling system until at least one hot/cold cycle after installation, which must exonerate BL in his case. When installed cold, little or no BL-laced coolant will migrate into the system until the system is heated and then cooled down, essentially sucking some of the mixture into the system with each hot/cold cycle. I don't know how long it takes to fully coalesce into the cooling system, but it must be a matter of days or weeks.
If, however, you wish to place blame based on such a lack of tangible clues, go forth with it. But the evidence just isn't there.
