Hi Doug,
I had seen our car somewhere on the board but not looked at the gallery yet... Makes my jaw drop a little, considering what I have ahead of me... really great pieco of Saab you heve here!!
Thanks for your input regarding the bodywork. I'll make sure I get some shet metal out of A C900 soon just to make sure I have all that is needed, as 99's are getting real hard to find here in S'land.
To clarify my point regarding fiber, of course a bit of filler is okay for the govt experts, what is prohibited is replacing a whole patch of metal with fiber, or for example all the seams between a floorpan and the sills. Which absolutely sucks, BTW, as making new florpan out of carbon and glue them on the body with these new super havy duty marine glues you can find now would be a great way to rustproof our oldies...
I've seen several people on the net wuo just say: if the doors are rusty, replace them, but I'd like to keep the original ones too. I'll see what I find inside once they are stripped. I think the driver's side is pretty good, though.
I'll make sure I post pics of the project once it's started to move!! Now I'll get to finding a few cars to strip! Poor little things!
Cheers, Seb
