And yes, you are right, the Mosva Roadster did enjoy a limited production run of 13 cars (although I'm not sure I would call this popularity), of which 3 were actually drivable, but Comrade Stalin didn't like the seat trim and had the entire factory management and workforce garroted. It was rumored he enjoyed watching archival film of the atrocity while rubbing Miracle Grow on his eyebrows. Uncle Joe - what a card!
As you may know, the only known surviving example of the '49 Mosva Roaster is stored in General Motor's Executive Bunker 500 feet below downtown Detroit and was apparently used as a design study for the new Cadillacs which - you must admit - bear more than a casual resemblance to 50s era Soviet car design.
