Do you have three threaded plugs on the case? Fill plug neat the top, naturally.
Drain plug on the very bottom.
A third small diameter (maybe 1/4-inch) plug on the lower front face of case.
This small third plug is the oil level plug. Remove it, add oil until the fluid starts to weep out through the small opening, then quickly plug it and add no more oil.
IMPORTANT: You should be using an EP4 oil (not EP5!) and only a 75 to 80 weight gear oil.
The additives which allow the high EP5 ratings can be corrosive to older non-ferrous alloys used in vintage transmissions. Oil passages within the transmission are too small for the 90 weight viscosity fluids when cold.
