If there were only 11 99Ts in Australia I can account for two, one of them permanently. I owned a pearl white 5 door 99T and a black (originally marroon I think) 5 door 99T which I paid $700 and used for parts. I know of only two other 99Ts in WA. Both are 3 door and gunmetal grey in colour. One is an import from the UK and the Oz one was in a very sorry state when I saw it last. If I had know they were so rare I may have kept my 99T (I still have an engine and bits from the black one).
Where can we find out how many there actually are?
I hear that the Saab scene is relativley big in QLD. Do you have a club?
Where do you get your parts from?
My current 99 is a combination between a car used for classic rallies and modified cruise mobile.
Mods so far:Twin carbs, 900 rear end, 9000 panhard rod, koni gas shocks (rear) Aluminium panelling on the dash (replacing the woodgrain), 900 aero rear swaybar, extra sound proofing (no radio.....yet) fat tyres, fat rims (kind of....15 by 6 inch) new windscreen, rebuilt door pannels.
And yes I will even admit to looking for a late model Saab...a 900/9000 Aero would be nice, just to cruise around in while I concentrate on my 99.
Justin.
