The old car coolers are a riot. I've had a lot of fun with it. I had some funny happenings...I realized not to add too much water. I had it mounted on my 1954 chevrolet pickup, and decided to see how the truck handled at top speed. When I hit 75mph, the water sprayed all over the interior, totally soaking me. Another time I offered my brother's wife a ride...she slammed the door hard as she got in causing a mini tidal wave, completely soaking her. I would, however, reccomend getting one to any antique auto collector. They install very quickly, and really look cool if nothing else. There is also the benefit of not hacking up a nice original antique vehicle for the sake of getting cool for a couple of days of the year. Also it's tranferable to any vehicle you own. Another thing, you will see in hot rod mags that guys paint them to match the color of the car...I tried it...it renders it useless...it must be silver to work well. They came painted in silver hammertone paint (still available) for that nice patterned finish. My '72 99 has AC, so I never mounted it. I just picked up a '74 EMS, so I could mount it and take a picture. I never thought about it, but it will probly look good on an old Saab...probably awesome on a 96. I won't be able to give a performance report due to winter, but I could email you a photo of it mounted if your interested. I'll try mounting it today.
